Sjaan & Megan’s Sunrise Ceremony on the Brooklyn Bridge

Sjaan and Megan flew in from Australia with nine of their favorite people and decided to get married in the way that fit them best — early, simple, and with the city waking up around them.

They’re runners, so a sunrise Brooklyn Bridge ceremony felt like the right kind of sacred: the light was soft, the bridge was quiet, and the whole morning had that “only-in-New York” glow that comes from being up before everyone else. It was easy, joyful, and exactly the type of small NYC wedding that feels meaningful without the fuss.

A Morning Walk Through Manhattan

After the ceremony, they stepped off the bridge and let the day unfold the way they always imagined it could. They wandered through Tribeca and Soho while the neighborhoods were still stretching awake, stopping for portraits along the way.

Then they hopped on the subway, rode up to the New York Public Library, and ended in Bryant Park, where their friends were waiting with mimosas. It was an unhurried, city-forward wedding morning — the kind of elopement that feels more like living in New York for a day than staging a wedding, which is exactly why they chose Cakewalk.

Get married however you please.
