In the mood

At cakewalk we believe in tiny weddings with big impact–but that doesn’t mean we don’t love the details that make your day uniquely you. Here’s our weekly round up of everything that’s been inspiring us lately: poses, photographers, jewelry, dresses—and of course, tiny cakes.

This week we’re obsessed with statement jewelry, statement hair, a mysterious & untraceable wedding photographer, the biggest earrings you can imagine, and getting tattooed on your wedding day.

Big & bespoke jewelry

I don’t care if it’s not practical–I’m into it. I’m going through an anti-diamond, post-dainty jewelry phase right now. I love a chunky, organic gold ring with a candy-colored gemstone like these ones at Simuero.

Cece makes these super-personal, signet rings that I’m stoked on. I love the idea of creating an heirloom piece that feels so specific to your wedding.

Statement hair

I was lurking on Pinterest this week when I saw this ‘do and immediately had to know everything about it. It was done by Mischa G using Amika products. It photographs so beautifully–perfect for a winter wedding.

I also love this photo of Lais Ribeiro by Gil Inoune for Marie Claire Brazil. It’s so relaxed and so done up at the same time. Cool-girl shit.

Kiss cam

I LOATHE TO POST WITHOUT GIVING CREDIT!! Reverse Google search bred no results. I feel inclined to share regardless–firstly, because one of you might be able to tell me whose work this is and secondly because I love it. Everyone should have a candid-ish, high flash kiss photo in front of a probably very expensive piece of artwork.

Something blue

Traditions are dumb. Enormous blue flower earrings by Schiaparelli aren’t.

I found Léa Le Faucon when I was making our something blue mood board this week. What could be a cooler blue detail than a romantic matching tattoo with your partner.

Thanks for tuning in. If you want more inspiration—we post our mood boards on our Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
