A Broadway elopement outside Moulin Rouge!
Tor and Sydney met in middle school. Sydney was the new girl in town, and Tor noticed her right away. It helped that his mom worked at the school and made sure their schedules lined up.
From then on they were inseparable, all the way through high school, but strictly as friends. That didn't change until after college. Years later, after graduating college, their friendship turned into something more, and their families couldn’t have been happier. After all, everyone had been saying for years: “I told you so!”
Married on 45th, then a stroll through the city
Tor and Sydney live in Connecticut and knew early on that a big wedding wasn't for them. They wanted something short, in the city, and a little theatrical. So they chose a guerrilla ceremony on the sidewalk outside the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, home of Moulin Rouge!
After the ceremony, they walked over to Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center for portraits. The energy of Midtown made for an unforgettable wedding day — intimate, stylish, and uniquely them.
