An intimate Bryant Park elopement

Trenicia and Darius met at a bodega-themed restaurant in Houston. She almost went for tacos that day instead. Texting turned into her checking her phone all day waiting for his replies, and long talks about what they each wanted out of life made it clear this was serious.

Some of their best trips together have been to New York, including the time they raced e-bikes from Midtown to Battery Park to catch the Statue of Liberty ferry. So that’s where they got married: a quiet corner of Bryant Park, just the two of them, with vows they wrote themselves.

Cabs, subways, bikes, and Joe’s Pizza

After portraits with the lions on the library steps, they hailed a yellow cab downtown, stopping for crosswalk shots along the way. Then came the subway to West 4th, a stop at an actual bodega in the West Village, photos with Citi Bikes, and slices at Joe’s Pizza on Carmine. After that, they headed to Brooklyn for mango sticky rice.

Get married however you please.
