A Central Park wedding at Cop Cot
Ashley and Tyler met in sixth grade, in first-period English. Tyler had a crush on her from the start and kept it completely to himself. They became fast friends instead.
In high school, they ended up in the same English class again. This time something clicked, and they've been together ever since. Proms, graduations, moving in, getting engaged: they've done all of it together.
A summer micro wedding
Ashley and Tyler got married at Cop Cot, the rustic wooden shelter on a rock outcrop near the southeast corner of Central Park, with friends and family gathered around them.
They did portraits first. They started at Grand Army Plaza by the gold Sherman statue at Fifth Avenue and 59th Street, then walked into the park together and made their way to Cop Cot for the ceremony. Everything, from the first photo to "I do," happened within a few blocks and entirely on foot.
