In the mood

At cakewalk we believe in tiny weddings with big impact–but that doesn’t mean we don’t love the details that make your day uniquely you. Here’s our weekly round up of everything that’s been inspiring us lately: poses, photographers, jewelry, dresses—and of course, tiny cakes.

Clockwise from top left: bobby pins by Jennifer Behr, photograph for Litkovska by @nazar_chernyy, hair by Jennifer Behr, florals by Agos Muni, pearl sweater by Loewe photographed by Kristen-Lee Moolman and styled by Suzanne Koller.

The last heat wave of the summer is over. It’s 60 degrees. We’re goths now and this week's mood board round-up reflects that.

Sculptural florals

I’ve spent hours looking through these florals by Agos Muni. This arrangement reminds me so much of one of my favorite artists, Petah Coyne. There’s just such a decadence to them–it looks like something Miss Havisham would have in her house (compliment).

Love boat

The idea of wearing a white wedding dress on a Central Park boat is terrifying, but would be well worth it if you could get a photo even close to this one by nazar_chernyy for Litkovska.

Hair jewels

Jennifer Behr is probably most well known for providing Blair Waldorf with her headbands, but I love her stuff for other, cooler reasons. Hair jewels! They look great up or down, polished or crazy. There’s really no going wrong.

Pearls on pearls

The question on everybody’s mind right now: should you wear big, statement, 70s glasses on your wedding day? Yea! Everyone is asking this question. The answer is easy: Yes. You should also style them exactly how Suzanne Koller did – with a Loewe pearl sweater (which I imagine weighs 300 lbs). Photographed by Kristin-Lee Moolman.

Thanks for tuning in. If you want more inspiration—we post our mood boards on our Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
