My imaginary best friend’s wedding

The strike is OVER. Hacks is PROBABLY going to be back for a 3rd season. So, naturally, this installment of “My Imaginary best friends wedding” is all about Kiki.

For those of you who need to be brought up to speed: Poppy Liu plays Kiki–a private blackjack dealer and one of the best dressed people on television. Here’s our vision for their wedding.

Kiki is a true iconoclast–tradition is totally out the window. I could see her wearing this exact look by Nina Sandbech or taking a page out of Anna Winck’s book and wearing a totally sheer, sparkly dress. Really–anything feathers, anything glitter, anything Paco Rabone. Also–these nodress tights would absolutely make an appearance at some point. I don’t know when or how, but they would.

Another thing about Kiki–they have really. good. hair. They’d rock something wild pigtails or go full on pink. They’re a  total natural beauty, but a super pigmented, glossy eye, would totally work for this fantasy wedding day. Or maybe just a full maximalist rainbow moment.

So, onto where we shine: where is the coolest person in the world eloping? The Sultan Room. It’s the closest thing New York has to a Las Vegas escapist wedding venue. We’re thinking the photoshoot would take serious inspiration from Heidi Slimane’s birthday party–but she’d post a blurry iphone pic on her instagram to announce the news.

I would pay a million dollars to go to this wedding. Somebody please ask us to plan something similar—I’m begging you.
