LA Micro Weddings
Keep It Small, Keep It Real.
Cakewalk plans ceremony-only weddings across LA County for up to 20 guests — officiant, photographer, marriage license, and permits, handled before you show up. You just get married.
Just the Ceremony. Nothing Else.
A micro wedding here means the ceremony, not the reception — sometimes twenty guests, sometimes five, sometimes just the two of you. No seating chart, no reception you didn't ask for, no planner trying to upsell you a sweetheart table. Cakewalk handles the part that actually takes work — the ceremony itself — so you're not planning a wedding, you're just getting married.
We Know Where the Permits Are (and Aren't)
LA isn't one backdrop, it's a hundred of them, and most cost nothing to use — if you know the rules. Griffith Park works without a permit; the Observatory itself doesn't allow ceremonies, so you use the trails around it instead. Venice's boardwalk is a different place at 8am than at noon. A rooftop in DTLA might need a permit your officiant already has on file, or it might not. We know which is which before you find out on the drive over.
If you're picturing Venice, Hollywood, DTLA, Malibu, or a courthouse instead of a ceremony, we've got you.
How It Works
You reach out. Fill out our inquiry form or take the quiz. We set up a call.
We build the day from there — scout the location, sort the photographer and officiant, handle the permit if the spot needs one, and get your LA County marriage license paperwork moving. You'll see a mood board before anything's locked in, so nothing's a surprise on the day.
You want a ceremony, not a production
This works if you want more than a courthouse appointment but you're not planning a 200-person weekend. You've been putting off actually picking a date, you don't want to spend six figures on one afternoon, or you just want a day that's about the two of you and not the guest list. We work with people who've lived in LA for years and people flying in for a weekend — married either way.
The Base Covers Everything You Need. Add-Ons Cover What You Want.
No tiers, no "platinum" upgrade, no upsell script. Every Cakewalk micro wedding starts with the same base: officiant, photographer, marriage license, and any permit the location requires. That's it — nothing bundled in that you didn't ask for. Want more? Super 8 film, extra photography time, live music, a vintage car — add only what you actually want, built into your timeline.
